Matteo Malosio, Matteo Lavit Nicora, Davide Felice Redaelli and Giovanni Tauro, researchers at CNR-STIIMA, won the prize offered by the Bio4Dreams incubator (https://www.bio4dreams.com/) as part of the eleventh edition of Premio 2031 (https://www.2-0-3-1.com/2021/11/19/finale-incubatori-acceleratori-parchi-scientifici-e-tecnologi/), the most important awards platform for innovation in Italy.
The awarded entrepreneurial project is dedicated to the development, industrialization and marketing of the PhiCube device, a robotic solution for bilateral rehabilitation of the upper limbs, because of neurological diseases, to be used also in remote rehabilitation contexts. PhiCube was conceived within the GiocAbile research project, funded by the Cariplo Foundation as part of the CREW initiative (Codesign for REhabilitation and Wellbeing).
The award ceremony took place on November 15, 2021, at the MIND – Milano Innovation District, during which the 26 prizes offered by incubators, accelerators and science and technology parks led by InnovUp – Italian Innovation & Startup Ecosystem were assigned, selected among 584 proposals.
The prize offered by Bio4Dreams, a certified incubator of innovative startups in the very early stage phase dedicated to life sciences, consists of an incubation path worth about € 30,000, with mentorship, training, support and coaching services in the phase of the constitution of the future innovative startup.
