Product Data Traceability Information Managment by blockchains Interoperability and open Circular Service Marketplace

Due to reduced cost, in the EU garments are worn 3 times on average, with EUR 400 billion lost a year due to discarding clothes which can still be worn, 92 Mt fashion waste, 87% disposed in landfills. TRICK will provide a complete, reliable, SME affordable, standardized platform to support the adoption of sustainable and circular approaches, enabling enterprises to collect product secured data on a dedicated marketplace, open to third parties certified solutions, fostering innovative business models. Trick demonstration will run in two relevant, complex and polluting domains: textile-clothing and perishable food for replication. EC estimates that up to 10% of the 88 Mt of food waste generated annually in the EU is linked to date marking, with associated costs estimated at EUR 143 billion. Secured traceability will be implemented from the data collection needed for the preferential certification of origin (PCO). Data to trace the full production lifecycle, from recycling to retail, will be collected by the fiscal documents and integrated in the bill of materials, saved in the Blockchains per each production lot. These data will be the core for aggregation to calculate product recycling, use of safe and sustainable materials and components, environmental and social performance. Based on Blockchains, TRICK will be able to provide the secured necessary information for informed choices. Data confidentiality and privacy protection will be granted by the exploitation of Blockchains smart contracts, with different level of access and information granularity in relation with the specific target group of stakeholders.
