In the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies domain STIIMA CNR carries out research activities dealing with the whole product and manufacturing system lifecycle, ranging from design to production, reuse and recycling.
Activities include material characterization, development of additive, subtractive and hybrid advanced manufacturing processes, design and optimization of intelligent components, machines and systems, and the use of digital models, simulation and digital twin in order to improve industrial process performances, quality and efficiency, with an increasing interest in the space economy sector.
