Grazia Cicirelli received the Laurea degree magna cum laude in Computer Science from the University of Bari in 1994. From 1995 to 2001 she was fellow researcher of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) working on activities related to robotics and image processing. Since 2001, is a permanent staff technologist researcher at the Institute of Intelligent Industrial Technologies and Systems for Advanced Manufacturing (STIIMA) of the CNR. She participated in numerous research projects in different research areas such as Quality Control, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Ambient Assisted Living and Video Surveillance. She is author of numerous research papers published in International Conference Proceedings, National and International Journals. She is a co-inventor of 1 international patent on the development of a visual system for event detection in a sport context. She regularly serves as reviewer on various conferences and international journals and she is associate editor of the topic "Vision Systems" at the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems. Her current research interests are in the field of pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, machine learning, human action recognition.
